We are a German manufacturer of measuring instruments for industrial and R&D photonics applications. We design and builds turnkey systems and subsystems for measuring optical power, current, and voltage, and for characterizing lasers. Our standard portfolio includes laser diode characterization systems, laser mounts and thermoelectric cooler (TEC) drivers, a gated integrator/boxcar averager (GIA100), transimpedance amplifiers, optical power meters (OPM), polymer integrating spheres, a pulsed laser diode driver (LDD100), and a laser module (LDM200).

Both. Artifex Engineering supplies custom optics in any quantity, from a single specialized piece or initial samples up to full series production.
Which materials are available for custom optics?
Customers have an almost free choice of materials at Artifex Engineering. Options include H-K9L (equivalent to N-BK7) and all other optical glasses, fused silica, optical crystals, and plastics.
Which optical coatings does Artifex offer?
We offer dielectric, metallic, and anti-reflection (AR) coatings covering the UV, visible (VIS), and infrared (IR) spectral ranges. The available coating options depend on the substrate material chosen.
What sizes of optics can Artifex Engineering provide?
Artifex Engineering supplies precision optics from micro optics up to large components of 600 mm.
How does Artifex Engineering ensure the quality of its optics?
Since 2014, Artifex Engineering has operated its own quality assurance system at its site in Emden, Germany, where optics are inspected before shipping to verify that the defined specifications are met.
