Getting accurate results from your optical power meter depends on more than the detector head alone. Our range of OPM150 accessories lets you adapt your setup to fibre-coupled sources, high-power free beams, laser safety measurements, and custom optical assemblies. You can usually do this in seconds, and often by hand.

Whether you need to connect an FC, SMA, LC or 1.25 mm fibre, extend your measurable power range with a calibrated OD filter, or integrate your detector into a C-mount or lens tube system, you will find the right OPM150 accessory below. Every part is designed for a secure fit, repeatable results, and simple handling in the lab or in the field.

Which Detector Heads Are Compatible with OPM150 Accessories?

All standard OPM150 accessories on this page are compatible with the following detector heads:

• OPM150UVS, OPM150UVSOD1, OPM150UVSOD2 and OPM150UVS-S
• OPM150G10, OPM150G10OD1 and OPM150G10OD2
• OPM150VIGA and OPM150x2.0IGA

One exception is the FC-Adapter for integrating spheres, which is designed for the P10 and P20 integrating spheres.

OPM150 Fibre Adapters – Connect Any Optical Fibre in Seconds

Our OPM150 fibre adapters let you measure the output of an optical fibre directly. Once the adapter is fitted, you simply connect your fibre to the adapter receptacle. Four connector types are available:

OPM150 Fibre Adapter FC

This is the classic threaded fibre connection, and it is widely used in telecom and laboratory environments. It is ideal for stable, repeatable fibre measurements.

OPM150 Fibre Adapter SMA

This is a robust connector often used with high-power and multimode fibres. It is a reliable choice for industrial and medical laser applications.

OPM150 Fibre Adapter LC

This is a compact, small-form-factor connector. It is well suited to modern data communication and fibre optic test setups.

OPM150 Fibre Adapter 1.25 mm

This adapter is designed for fibres with 1.25 mm ferrules, and it gives you a precise fit for small-ferrule connectors.

Installation: Every OPM150 fibre adapter can be fitted by hand. For a more convenient fit, you can use the OPM150 Adapter Mounting Tool (order code 20.430.00018).

OPM150 Filters – Extend Your Power Range with Calibrated Accuracy

High-power sources can exceed the measurement range of a detector head. OPM150 filter accessories solve this by attenuating the input beam before it reaches the detector.

OPM150 Filter OD1 Absorbing

This filter extends the power range of OPM150 free beam and integrating sphere detector heads by a factor of approximately 10x. It attenuates the beam through diffuse reflection. The actual attenuation depends on wavelength.

OPM150 Filter OD2 Absorbing

This filter provides stronger attenuation for higher-power sources. Like the OD1 filter, its attenuation depends on wavelength.

Why calibrated filter files matter: Each filter is delivered with its own filter file, which matches the filter’s serial number. You load this file into the OPM150 software, and calibrated measurements are then available whenever the filter is mounted. Both filters are fitted by hand.

OPM150 Filter Mount – Integrate Your Own Optics

The OPM150 Filter Mount lets you mount plano optics and mechanics such as filters, diffusers and apertures onto OPM150 free beam and integrating sphere detector heads.

The mount has internal (female) M23.2×0.75 threads. It comes complete with a PTFE washer, which protects your optics from damage, and with a Retainer Ring (order code 20.430.00008).

For custom filters, you can download an example filter file from our website. You overwrite it with the data for your mounted filter, following the technical note that is also available for download. Then you load it into the OPM150 software for easy measurement. The mount is fitted by hand.

OPM150 Mechanical Accessories – Safe, Simple Handling

OPM150 Adapter Mounting Tool (20.430.00018)

The tool has two pins that fit into the matching holes in OPM150 retaining rings and adapters. Its knurled handle provides a secure grip, so you can handle retaining rings and adapters safely and simply.

OPM150 Retainer Ring (20.430.00008)

This retainer ring screws into the front end of OPM150 free beam heads and P10 and P20 series integrating spheres. It also fits into any OPM150 filter mount. You use it to fix filters, diffusers and apertures directly in place. The ring is fitted with the adapter mounting tool.

OPM150 Aperture 7 mm – For Laser Safety Measurements

This aperture limits the detector’s input aperture to 7 mm, which is the standard aperture required for laser safety measurements according to ANSI Z136.1. It is only for use with detectors whose input aperture is larger than 7 mm. The aperture is fitted with the adapter mounting tool.

OPM150 C-Mount Adapters – Connect Camera Optics and Lens Tubes

C-mount (1″×32 TPI) is a common standard for camera optics and lens tubes. Two OPM150 accessories cover both thread genders:

• OPM150 C-Mount Adapter (external, male): This adapter connects parts with internal (female) C-mount threads.
• OPM150 C-Mount Adapter (internal, female): This adapter connects parts with external (male) C-mount threads.

Both adapters are fitted by hand.

OPM150 Lens Tube Adapters – Build Seamless Optical Assemblies

For optical setups based on 1.035″×40 TPI lens tubes, two adapters are available:

• OPM150 Lens Tube Adapter (external, male): This adapter connects lens tubes with internal (female) 1.035″×40 TPI threads.
• OPM150 Lens Tube Adapter (internal, female): This adapter connects lens tubes with external (male) 1.035″×40 TPI threads.

Both adapters are fitted by hand.

FC-Adapter for P10 and P20 Integrating Spheres

This FC fibre adapter allows fibre input into P10 and P20 integrating spheres. It uses a proprietary design that eliminates back reflections into the detector. Without this design, those back reflections would cause miscalibration. The external thread fits the P10 and P20 spheres. You can fit the adapter by hand, or more conveniently with the adapter mounting tool (20.430.00018).
