This aperture is used to limit the input aperture of the detector to 7mm. This is the required standard aperture for laser safety measurements according to ANSI Z136.1.
The 7mm aperture is for use only with detectors having an input aperture greater than 7mm.
The adapter is fitted by use of the
adapter mounting tool (20.430.00018).
