Pulsed Laser Diode Driver LDD100

The laser diode driver LDD100 from Artifex Engineering is a fast and powerful pulsed current source for driving laser diodes and high power LEDs in the lab as well as for OEM applications.

We offer this instrument with various end stages with current ranges from 0.5A to 600A. The graphical user interface is clear and intuitive to use.

  • Control: front panel and USB
  • Interface: USB
  • Rise time: 70ns (F-version fast rise time models), 600ns (XL-version long pulse models)
  • Output functions: staircase, burst

Properties

The laser driver module LDD100 from Artifex Engineering employs a digitally programmable analogue end stage for flexible and accurate current control. Currents of up to 600A with pulse durations of 50ns to 3s are generated with rise and fall times of 70ns (F-version) or 600ns (XL-version) – essentially without overshoot. Due to the flexibility in setup and control, the LDD100 is practical for many laboratory applications. For automated measurements, the unit may be directly controlled via the USB interface. Alternatively, all parameters may be input via the graphical software or via the integrated keypad and OLED display.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION:

Applications include laser diode characterization (LIV measurements, etc.), general lab use and for OEMs. The LDD100 from Artifex Engineering generates fast and very square current pulses and is very simple to operate. Artifex Engineering supports this product with a custom strip line configurations service.

Complete Software Solution

Artifex Software Development Kit

The SDK is a fixed, free component when purchasing a device.

It comes with the source code of the application program (in VB.net) and a LabView VI with the basic functions of the instrument. A description of the communication with the devices and a list of the commands used is also included.

For some devices (currently LDD100, LIV120 in preparation) there is a dll file (library file) with documentation and exemplary applications in VB.net and LabView.
